You’ll spend the day learning how to shape and build your own pumpkin using pinch pot techniques before adding details and textures to make it completely your own. You’ll then carve openings for the a tea light to shine through, bringing personality to your pumpkin and transforming it into a glowing Halloween decoration.
Tutor Abbie Brewer, of Sunshine Child, will guide you through the process step by step, sharing ideas and techniques to help you bring your creation to life. Carve your pumpkin to suit your style, spooky, silly, classic or colourful, there’ll be lots of chances to experiment.
No previous ceramics or making experience is needed. This is a relaxed and welcoming workshop where you can enjoy getting stuck into clay and let your imagination take over.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own ceramic pumpkin tea light holder, ready to be glazed and fired. You'll be able to pick it up just in time for halloween to light up your spooky celebrations.
