Darkroom Taster Course (2 Evenings)

This course will run over two sessions on Wednesdays 4 & 11 February 6:00-8:30pm.

You will gain experience of processing your own roll of film, an understanding of how the chemicals react inside the developer tub and touch on the different effects of the development process.

In the second session you'll transform your processed film into beautiful hand printed silver gelatin photographs, and explore black and white darkroom printing methods using our enlargers.

Class sizes are kept small to allow for a more one-to-one experience with your teaching artist. This allows you more focused time to spend on developing your skills.

Students must bring a roll of exposed black and white film, either 35mm or 120mm, which is ready to be processed.
