Monotype Printmaking

This workshop is perfect for complete beginners in monotype printing. We will be working with oil paint and medium to create individual ‘paintings’ on metal plates that will then be put through the printing press to reveal individual monotype prints.

You will be guided through the process step by step by your tutor. Together, we will look at a variety of artists and inspiration to broaden our understanding of the printing process. Through a playful and exploratory approach we will experiment with oil paint to explore colour, textures and mark making to create individual compositions. You will explore this new process and end the day with your own collection of monotype prints to take away.
